Tasting Notes: Raisin, Melon, Red Fruit

Process: Natural
It's quite rare to find natural (vs. washed) processed coffee from Papua New Guinea, but a special working relationship between the smallholder farmers and the privately-owned wet mill where they bring their coffee cherries allows more freedom to experiment with processing. We are really digging the result.
We usually like PNG coffees, but we've never had one quite like this. It is boozy, with heavy body, but we are also surprised and delighted with how clean and fruity the cup is. We're tasting raisin, green melon, red fruit, and we keep going back for a second cup. You might find yourself doing the same…Go for it!
Note: We roast on Mondays and ship or have beans ready for pickup the following day. Order before midnight on Sunday to have your beans included in the next day's roast.
