Tasting Notes: Caramel, Praline, Brown Sugar
Origin: Finca La Chilana, El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, Chiapas, Mexico
The beans for this excellent Mexican blend come from Finca La Chilana, a coffee farm located inside the Triunfo Biosphere Reserve in Chiapas. As the reserve is a refuge for thousands of protected plant and animal species, the coffee farmers there are deeply committed to sustainable growing methods and taking care of the environment.
Once the beans get to Gray Squirrel, we roast them to two different roast levels (light and dark), and then mix those roasted beans together to create a melange—a special blend with a very drinkable and deliciously unique flavor profile. Look for notes of caramel, nutty praline, and brown sugar.
Note: We roast on Mondays and ship the following day. Order before midnight on Sunday to have your beans included in the next day's roast.
