Forest Coffee
Marta Bayter and her two sons started Forest Coffee in 2019 with the goal of elevating Colombian Coffee to new heights through innovation in processing, education, and sustainability.
Committed from the beginning to helping connect farmers with international markets and ensuring fair prices, today Forest Coffee has grown into a thriving network of 250 coffee-growing families.

After receiving the coffee cherries from partner farms, Marta's sons, Elias and Shady, take care of all the coffee processing using expertise that they have built over years of trial and experimentation.
They also process beans from the family's own estate, El Vergel, where they have planted an impressive array of nearly 30(!) coffee varietals, including Geisha, Java, Pacamara, Red Bourbon, and Laurina.

The Bayter family continues to do exhaustive research on coffee fermentation and processing, always striving toward a better and better cup.
