Aida Batlle

Aida Batlle is a fifth-generation coffee farmer who lovingly manages her family's three farms (Fincas Los Alpes, Kilimanjaro, and Mauritania) in El Salvador’s Santa Ana region. She has become known for her visionary fruit-centric approach to coffee production, earning herself and her coffees plenty of awards and a devoted following.

In 2003, just months into her foray into coffee farming, Aida won the Cup of Excellence competition and set the record for the most expensive coffee ever sold. Since then, she has become known for her cutting edge work developing coffee cherries and experimental processing techniques.

In addition to producing her own coffees, since 2009, Aida has also run the Aida Batlle Selection (ABS) program, which sources the most exceptional single-lot coffees from El Salvador—and now Mexico—and helps them reach the global market, where they are quickly snatched up!
