The Mwito Washing Station is part of the Rwanda Trading Company (RTC), which works to make positive social change and ensure economic freedom and security for smallholder farmers. Since joining RTC in 2017, Mwito has seen increased coffee quality and productivity from producer partners, and they were able to build a kindergarten for the children of the coffee farmers.
In addition to these wonderful social projects, what we find particularly appealing about this coffee is its smooth, creamy body and dominant berry notes. As it cools, you'll start to taste hints of bittersweet chocolate, and its fruity acidity will keep your taste buds engaged to the last sip.
Note: We roast on Mondays and ship or have beans ready for pickup the following day. Order before midnight on Sunday to have your beans included in the next day's roast.
